When I made my card on Thursday, I had actually stamped two flowers, die cut them both and colored them both. I also stamped, cut and colored the smaller flower that you can see tucked into the large flower around the 1-o'clock position. I had it sitting on my worktable. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. Sometimes I will make two and practice different ways to color and one will turn out and the other won't. Here both turned out and I had this just waiting for me to make a card. And today was that day! You can see my other card by clicking here.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. On top of that I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Then I took a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White and I textured it using the "Pinewood Planks" embossing folder. I taped that piece on top of the Crumb Cake piece.
Then I added Dimensionals to the flowers. I tucked the smaller flower into the larger flower with part of the petals showing. I did use some snail to hold the two pieces together where I thought they looked best. I didn't want them to move after finding the perfect spot. I removed the backing on the Dimensionals and set the flower in place on the front of the card.
The words are from the "Varied Vases" set. I used black Memento ink to stamp them. I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch. I set them in place using Dimensionals.
I added three green sequins to the front and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside and the card was done.
This was a very simple and quick card to make. Quicker when the flowers were already stamped, cut and colored!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
