I still have my August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit sitting out. After the card I made yesterday (I made 6 of them) I still had LOTS of pieces left in the kit. And I mean LOTS! There's lots of leaves in two styles. There's the pretty vellum leaves like the one in the center of this card. There's thread, ribbon, sequins, tags another vellum flower type image. And since I'm not doing the bags, I need to come up with something for cards and this is today's creation.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla that was textured using the "Eyelet Lace" embossing folder. I set that piece in place on top of the card base using Dimensionals.
I took the large Crushed Curry printed circle from the kit and added a Merry Merlot scalloped circle to the back of it. I used the largest scalloped circle in the pack. Then I punched out a 1-1/2" circle from a scrap piece of Very Vanilla. I added a Merry Merlot circle to the back of it. It's from the same circle pack as the scalloped circle. I did cut both out at the same time. I cut the smaller circle from the center of the large scalloped circle. You can do them individually but it just saves time and wear and tear on the machine. I taped the larger circles together and I taped the smaller circles together. I set the smaller circle in place using Dimensionals. I added the vellum leaf using three small Dimensionals.
Next I added the thread. I added some snail tape to area where the large circle will hide it. I added my loops of thread and stuck them to the tape as I created them. I did add a piece of scotch tape over the inside ends after I was done. I didn't want them coming loose from the snail tape. I thought they might since I touched that tape an awful lot with my fingers.
I set the large circle in place using Dimensionals. Then I glued the end of the Merry Merlot leaves under the circle. I took another set of leaves, turned them over and colored it with the light Mossy Meadow Blends Pen. I splattered some darker Blends Mossy Meadow over the leaves using the cover flick method. It's where you use the cover of the pen and push about 1/4th of the end of the pen against the edge to make the ink flick off the cap and onto your paper/work. The first time I hear about this I didn't understand what to do. Flicking the pen off the cap was the instructions. So I took the cap and I tapped the pen on it really hard and nothing flicked. I made a lot of noise with the banging of the two pieces. I thought maybe you had to have REALLY juicy markers to do this (I was using the markers at the time). So I searched the net and found someone doing it and saw that you actually put the tip of the pen on the inside of the cover, at the bottom. You only insert it about 1/4" and you push the tip of the pen out of the cap (that's the flicking part) and it splatters ink on the area you are working on. SO I thought I would try it using a Blends pen. It works SO much easier with the Blends. I'm not sure what it will do to the tips but only time will tell. And it's not like I do it all the time. So that's my story on the flicking!!! Did you have a good laugh picturing me banging the cap and pen together? LOL I laugh when I think about it now! So once I got the splatter on my leaves, I glued them in behind the Merry Merlot leaves. Then I glued on a couple of the Crumb Cake leaves that came in the kit. There's LOTS of those in the kit, along with lots of the other leaves.

I tied a bow from the ribbon that is in the kit and set it in place with a glue dot that came with the kit (there's lots of those too).
I took one of the Crumb Cake ribbon strips and stamped the words from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Merry Merlot ink. I thought it needed a layer behind it so I took a scrap of Merry Merlot card stock and cut a 5/8" strip and taped the two together. I trimmed the ends of the Merry Merlot piece to match the ends of the Crumb Cake piece. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

And for the final touch I added some sequins. There's lots of those in the kit too.
This was a fun card to make and it put a very little dent in the leaves in the kit!!

Thank you for sharing! I too am working with this same Paper Pumpkin Kit making utensil holders as shown on the Paper Pumpkin site (I am hosting the family for Thanksgiving - 20+ people) and am trying to make the items stretch as much as possible by using up some of the paper colors in my inventory (stash) as well as the kit. Trying very hard to use multiple ideas so that all are not the same decoration on the utensil & napkin holder. Yours is beautiful!
