I found today's card on Pinterest. I liked using the "Beautiful Friendship" set and thought I would make one more card from it before moving onto a different set (hopefully). LOL You can see the original card here. I pretty much copied it exactly, except for the ribbon.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock. And the focal piece is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock.
I did use my Stamparatus to stamp the flowers. I set the card stock in the Stamparatus and inked up the flowers from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Flirty Flamingo ink. I LOVE how the stamp set makes the light and dark areas all by itself. I stamped one corner and turned the panel 180 degrees and stamped the opposite corner.
The leaves were stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink. I set the stamp on a clear block and stamped by hand! No Stamparatus there!
I stamped the words on vellum using black Staz On ink. I thought it would be darker than black Memento ink on the vellum. It is. I did heat set it to make sure it was dry before I die cut it with the second largest Stitched Circle die.
I wrapped the dotted ribbon around the sides of the Whisper White piece and I taped it on the back side using transparent tape. I added a second layer over the ribbon because I wanted it to stand out a little more. This ribbon is very sheer. I tied a piece of white Baker's Twine around the ribbon and made a bow.
I added the word circle using Dimensionals. I used small ones on the backside of the words so they wouldn't show. And that was it. I think it could use some sequins. I may add them later but I'm liking the clean look right now.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
