Today I thought I would play with the "Beautiful Friendship" set. I am not really sure why I bought this set. It kind of reminds me of the "old" stamping. Flat with no dimension to it. I'm SO spoiled by stamps that have die cuts to them. Though they are more expensive. Maybe I got this set because it didn't cost a lot. But I thought I should use it and this is what I came up with in the "quick cards" category.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I put the card stock in my Stamparatus. I like to use it in the event that the image doesn't get inked up enough, I can just add more ink and stamp again in the exact same spot. It's much like the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" except you don't have to hold on to anything. The stamps cling and stay put so you can whip up a bunch of cards in no time. I actually made three. I was just going to make the one so I had the card stock cut for one and I decided to make two more. Why not, the Stamparatus will hold everything in place so I just have to add a new piece of card stock, ink the image and stamp. Repeat until you are done!!
I stamped the flower first. I used Flirty Flamingo ink on the Very Vanilla card stock piece. The rose s are one large piece. Then I added the leaves. I lined them up on the flower and closed the "lid" of the Stamparatus and then I inked them using Old Olive. I did have to move one of the sets of leaves and stamp each piece again. The stamp set only came with two sets of leaves.
The words are from the same set and I stamped them using Soft Suede ink.
I added a few pearls on the front and than a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla on the inside and the card was finished.
This is a very quick and simple card to make.
