I found this great card on Pinterest and with one click of the button, I lost it. When I find it I will post the link and give credit where credit is due. I only changed the words on this card. The original card used the word "Smile" from the "Daisy Lane" stamp set. And the dot on the "i" has a small rhinestone on it.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo card stock. This card opens on the right and is folded on the left.
On top of the Flirty Flamingo is a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.
On top of the Whisper White card stock is a 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the beautiful "Perennial Essence" 12" x 12" pack. This piece of DSP was kind of difficult to use because the backside is the most prettiest dark blue with light blues background and dark purple flowers. It's just stunning. But I decided to go ahead and make this card. Usually the backsides aren't as nice as the other side. This whole pack is beautiful. So I taped the DSP to the Whisper White piece and then that was taped to the card base.
I cut a 3-5/8" x 1" strip of Whisper White card stock. The original card had that strip cut at 3/4" wide. I didn't think it was wide enough for the words I was going to use. The words came from the "Here's a Card" stamp set. I stamped them using Flirty Flamingo ink. I taped the strip to the DSP with the bottom edge measuring about 1-7/8" up from the bottom edge of the card.
I die cut two daisies using the "Medium Daisy" punch. There's also a large punch and now I'm wondering if a small one is in the making. Wouldn't that be fun? You could make a beautiful daisy garden card with three sizes! Okay, back to the card. I put glue on the center of the daisy and I stuck the two pieces together. I punched out the leaf using the leaf punch and Pear Pizzazz card stock. I taped the leaf in place and then set the daisy on top using a Dimensional. I added the cute fuzzy center from the "Perennial Essence Floral Centers" embellishments. These are a stick on item. Quick, easy, cute, fuzzy and fun! I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and it was done. This is a very quick and easy card to make. I can see myself making more of these using up some retired papers. I may not use the fuzzy center because they run about $.40 each but I'm sure I will figure out something so it still looks cute.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
