Today's card is a pretty simple one. I like monochromatic cards. They seem to have such a clean look to them. This card also requires no coloring and that helps make it a quick card.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White and on top of that is a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock.
The first one I made, I had messed up because I accidentally touched the card stock twice with the stamp and got a double image. I didn't notice it until I had embossed it. UGH!! And this one I forgot to use the embossing buddy, so there's some white dots around where they shouldn't be.
I took the card base and put a little piece of tape in the center of the top Crumb Cake card stock. I did set the piece(s) in my Stamparatus to make sure I didn't mess it up again.
I stamped both pieces at the same time. I did stamp the flower first and then the words. I could have set them both up on the Stamparatus, but I didn't. Next I sprinkled white embossing powder on them and used the heating tool to emboss them. I separated the pieces and went back to my worktable to assemble the card.
I taped the Whisper White piece to the Crumb Cake card base and then I taped the small Crumb Cake piece on top of that. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done.
I really like the look of this card and I LOVE how quick and simple it was to make.
