I found this beauty on Pinterest. I thought it was such a fun looking card. I liked the monochromatic look. I think the original card was made using copper embossing powder and copper foil card stock. I didn't have either in copper so I used gold.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. I took a 2-1/8" x 5-1/2" piece of copier paper and taped it down with removable tape. Then I stamped the flower image from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set using Versa Mark. I then embossed the flowers with gold embossing powder.
I cut a 3-1/8" strip of gold foil card stock. Actually I cut two because the piece I had wasn't long enough (5-1/2") so I pieced it in. The open space is under the word panel and no one will ever see it.
I stamped the words from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set using Soft Suede ink. I die cut the words and the gold foil card stock using the "Stitched Nested Labels" dies. I taped them together.
Then I added a little snail tape to the front of the card where the strip was pieced in. I stuck some gold thread to the tape and then I added a piece of transparent tape to hold the threads down.
I added Dimensionals to the back of the word piece and I set it in place on the front of the card.
And that was it. This was a very easy and fun card to make. I LOVE this layout. I saw another card using this layout and I think I may give it a try too.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
