Here's a Card, Detailed Bands, Magnolia Memory, Birthday Card

Don't you just LOVE the looks of this card?  I saw it on the internet and I knew I just had to make it.  You can see the original card here. I did change it a little bit.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock.  I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Essence" 12" x 12" package. I may have to order more.  The backside of the green paper is a super image with lots of flowers on it.

I cut a 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock and textured it with the "Eyelet Lace" embossing folder. The original card used the basket weave embossing folder. I don't have that one and I thought the "Eyelet Lace" one would look just as sweet. And I like the look.

I taped that in place on top of the DSP.

Next I punched out six daisy pieces using Whisper White card stock and the new "Medium Daisy" punch.  It's such a sweet punch.  I can't wait to play with it again and use the large punch along with it.  I LOVE those fuzzy flower centers.  They are called "Perennial Essence Floral Centers".  I may have to order more of those.  You get 18 and I used 3 on this card.  I can see myself burning through them pretty fast!  I taped two punched flowers together using a glue dot.  I took my bone folder and curled the petals. I set the flowers in place using a glue dot.

I die cut some leaves from the "Magnolia Memory" dies and glued them in place under the flowers.

I die cut the word piece using the "Detailed Bands" dies.  I cut one using Mossy Meadow card stock. Then I stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using black Memento ink.  I lined the words up on the die and ran it through my Big Shot.  I saved the Mossy Meadow center piece and taped it to the Whisper White word piece.  Then I added glue dots to the back of the swirly frame piece and the word piece.  Make sure you put the word piece in the swirly frame piece to make sure it's going the right direction.  This piece is not symmetrical.  And no, I did not learn this the hard way. I wanted to see if the piece would fit back in the space tightly and I noticed it was not the same on each end.  It looks like it is, but it's not.  After making sure, I set the swirly frame piece on first and then the word piece.  I added some rhinestones and the card was done.  It pretty much looks like the original but I used a different embossing folder and different words.

This was a fun card to make and I REALLY like how it looks.  I'm not sure I will ever give it away!!! LOL

I LOVE the "Detailed Bands" dies. I am thinking of using some of the pretty floral paper from the "Perennial Essence" DSP and some white glitter paper and make a wedding card.  I'll put that on the back burner!!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
