Today I thought I would find a set in my stash that would be retiring in a few days and play with it. I have some that I have hardly touched. SO sad. But with the new catalog I am going to be more selective and also only buy a few sets. That way I can play with them more, plus play with the ones I already have. I say this all the time, let's see if I do it this time around! There's TOO many pretties in the new catalog. UGH
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Tranquil Tide card stock. I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White to use as a base for my 2-1/8" x 5-1/8" piece of "Share What You Love Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used the "Corrugated" embossing folder and textured a 2-1/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card sock.
I took a piece of the Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon from my May Paper Pumpkin kit and wrapped it around the front of the card and taped the ends on the back with scotch tape.
I stamped the words from the "Southern Serenade" set using Tranquil Tide ink. I die cut them with the second largest "Stitched Circles" dies. I die cut them so the words were more at the bottom of the circle. I die cut a scalloped Tranquil Tide circle just a little bit larger than the stitched circle. I taped the two circles together.

Next I die cut two leaves from the "Floral Frames" set using Tranquil Tide card stock. I taped them to the circle layers around the 7 o'clock position. I set the circles in place using Dimensionals.
I fussy cut a flower from the "Share What You Love" DSP and I taped it to the upper part of the circle.
And for the final touch, I added tiny little pearls to the center of all of the flowers. This one had a lot because the piece of DSP had a lot of little flowers on it. The other half of that DSP only have 6 flowers. But it's okay, I think it's pretty as it is.
This was a fun and easy card to make. This layout is always a fun one.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

Cute card, Wanda. Love the texture the corrugated layer adds. Have a great day!
