Today's card was made using the "Petal Palette" set that is retiring in a few days. I've had a lot of fun with this set and will probably not be giving it up right away. I still want to make some cards using it. I did save a lot of samples!!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade dotted paper from the 6" x 6" Brights Collection Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.
I cut a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White and I stamped the words at the top from the "Just Because" set. I masked off the potted plant so I could just use the words. I stamped them using black Memento ink.
I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and I stamped the flower image using black Memento ink and then I die cut it. That is one of the things I REALLY liked about this set, stamps and matching die cuts, they're the best!!!
I colored the flowers in using the Poppy Parade Blends Pens (light and dark) and I colored the leaves in using the Old Olive light and dark Blends pens. I also colored the flowers using the Wink of Stella marker, to give it a little bit of bling.
I stamped the dotted image from the "Petal Palette" using Crumb Cake ink. I stamped it several times at and angle across the piece.
I cut a 4-1/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Crumb Cake card stock and taped the word panel to it. I taped those layers to the card base.

I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals. And that was it. This was a very simple and quick card to make.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
