I thought I would play with the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit one last time before I pack it away and stack it in the ever growing piles of Paper Pumpkin boxes! One of these days I will need to go through them and decide what to do with all the stuff inside. I'm such a pack rat! While looking through Pinterst I found a fun card to make. I SO love the flower from this Paper Pumpkin kit. You can see the original card here. I did change it a little because I didn't have all of the same materials.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mint Macaron. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4-5/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the flower using Mint Macaron ink. I had stamped the flower three times. I added Mint Macaron leaves and I set the piece aside. I cut a Basic Black piece for the layer measuring 4-3/4" x 3-1/2". I taped the two layers together and I taped the layers to the card base.
Next I took one of the printed images from the kit and cut it 1-1/4" and I left the length (which was 5"). I used the "Triple Banner" punch to cut the end of the strip. I took a piece of Whisper White organza ribbon and taped the ends to the back of the strip. Then I taped that strip in place on top of the stamped flowers image.
I stamped the words using black Memento ink. I die cut them using the stitched circle die. I also die cut a Mint Macaron scalloped circle. I taped those two layers together. I set the word layers in place using Dimensionals. I added some Mint Macaron enamel dots that came with the kit and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make and I'd like to make more but not any time soon, I need to put this set away and move onto something else that will be retiring soon.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
