One more "Geared Up Garage" card before I move onto something else. This is such a fun set. I found this card on Pinterest. I only made a couple of changes to it.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Bermuda Bay card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. I stamped the car image on it using Bermuda Bay ink and I sponged the edges with Bermuda Bay ink. I taped the piece to the card base.
Next I took a 4" x 1-7/8" piece of Sahara Sand card stock and textured it with the "Subtle" embossing folder. I cut a 4-1/8" x 2" piece of Sahara Sand card stock for the layer. After texturing the smaller piece, I sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink. I taped those two layers together and I set them in place on the card front using Dimensionals.
I die cut the largest "Stitched Circle" die and stamped the bolts using Crushed Curry ink. I stamped the smoky part using Smoky Slate ink. I set the circle in place on the top of the card using snail tape on the left and Dimensionals on the right.
Then I stamped and die cut the car out. I colored it with the Smoky Slate marker. I colored the lights in using the Crushed Curry marker. I set the car in place using Dimensionals.
And for the final touch, I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set using black Memento ink. I punched them out and set them in place on the Sahara Sand layer. I used snail tape on the left side and a Dimensional on the right.
I didn't have any of the matching Baker's Twine like the original card did, but that's okay, I like it without it.
This card was fun and easy to make. I think it would also make a great Father's Day card!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
