Only a few more days and this fun stamp set, "Climbing Roses" retires. I will miss it, it's got a lot of fun pieces to it. I love the lattice thing in the background. I sure does add a lot to the card.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black. I textured a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock using the "Pinewood Planks" embossing folder.
I die cut the lattice looking piece using Basic Black card stock.
I stamped the flowers from the "Climbing Roses"set. I die cut them. I also cut a smaller flower and die cut it as well.

I colored the flowers using the Real Red marker. I don't have the Blends pen yet, but it's on my list to get next month. I colored the inside parts of the flower using the Cherry Cobbler marker. The leaves were colored in using the Granny Apple Green Blends pen, both light and dark.
I die cut two leaves using Granny Apple Green. I also die cut the scalloped oval at the same time.
I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set and die cut them with the Stitched oval die. I taped this piece to the scalloped oval die. I had stamped the words close to the right side of the oval because I knew I'd be covering up part of the oval on the left.
I glued the lattice piece in place and then set the flower piece on top using Dimensionals. I taped the ovals in place, slipping them a little bit behind the flower piece. I taped the ends of the leaves I die cut and slipped them under the oval and then I pressed the ovals in place.
Next I set the smaller flower in place on top of the oval. I added a Dimensional behind it.
And for the final touch I colored over the flowers with the "Wink of Stella" pen. And that was it.
This was a very fun card to make and I really enjoyed coloring it.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
