Beautiful Bouquet, Birthday Card, April 2019 Paper Pumpkin

Today's card was a fun one.  I  found this card on Pinterest and wanted to make it but I got busy with our annual garage sale and I misplaced my Paper Pumpkin pieces.  Now that the sale was over and I was able to locate my stuff, I sat down at my clean table and worked on this card.  It did involve fussy cutting but I survived it! LOL

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Gray Granite.  It's not a color I thought I would use much, but it's starting to grow on me.  I had textured it using the "Layered Leaves" embossing folder.

I had cut one of the cards from the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit and used the blank side for the big white layer.  It was cut at 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".  I took my Gray Granite marker and flicked the color on.  This is done by inserting the tip of the marker back inside the cap about 1/4" and pushing outward to cause the pen to flick ink.  It's pretty easy once you know what you are doing but I'm concerned that it will weaken the tips of my markers if done too much.

The other side of the note card has the round circle images.  Click on the photo to see the image closer.  It's a circle with little lines going through it.  It's a nice soft look.  That piece was cut 1-3/4" x 4-3/8".  I did save the other half, I'm going to make two cards, but not today.

The thinner layer was from the same kit, it was another little note card.  I cut it at 1-1/8" x 4".

Next I stamped three of the flower images using Flirty Flamingo ink.  I set them aside to dry while I stamped two leaf images using Mint Macaron ink.  I set them aside to dry.

I took the word piece and stamped it using the words from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set and Gray Granite ink.  I set that aside to dry.

Then I fussy cut the flower.  I cut the outside piece first.  Then I cut the center part (because it was easier to see than the second layer).  And lastly I cut the second layer.  After I was done cutting the flowers, I took my bone folder and curled the petals a bit.  Then I cut out the leaves and gave the center one a little curl.

I took the white piece and taped the circle layer on the right side. Then I taped the word layer on top of that and off set it to the left.

I taped the big flower piece on top of the two layers I just set in place.  Then I added the center layer of the flower using a Dimensional.  The center of the flower was added using a Dimensional as well.

I taped the leaves in place and then I added the word piece using Dimensionals.  The kit came with some enamel dots.  I had used all but two of the Mint Macaron ones so I had to use some of the Flirty Flamingo ones.

Now I was ready to add the white piece to the card front.  I set it in place with Dimensionals.  I thought the center of the flower looked to blah so I added a faceted gem to it and that did the trick!  I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and it was done.

I do like this card. It caught my eye on Pinterest and I is still appealing to me.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
