Today's card is a quick and simple one. Even quicker for me because I had stamped the image yesterday and didn't use it (like stamping an image takes a lot of time!!! LOL). I ended up masking off the words and using the upper part.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Melon Mambo card stock.
I cut a 2" x 4" piece of the Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) from the "Share What You Love" 12" x 12" pack. I taped it to the Melon Mambo piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.
I stamped the image from the "Just Because" set. I colored in the flowers using the Melon Mambo marker and I colored in the leaves using the Old Olive Blends light and dark pens. And for the vase, I colored it in using the Light Petal Pink Blends pen and then colored over it with Soft Suede and a Blender Pen. After the coloring, I trimmed the panel down to 2" x 3-5/8". I added a layer of Mossy Meadow that I cut at 2-1/8" x 3-3/4". I taped the layers together. I set them in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
I like this layout and the SDSP. I think the Melon Mambo piece could use some texture from an embossing folder. But other than that, I do like the card.
Tomorrow is Sketch Challenge day at Split Coast Stampers. I have not done one of their challenges in a very long time. I may have to take a look tomorrow and see. If you haven't tried one, go there and take a look. I had started doing the challenges at SC125 (SK means Sketch Challenge). I quit when it was in the 400's because I was working and just didn't have the time to play along.
