I did not buy the set and dies that go with the "Animal Expedition" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I just thought I would get the DSP and cut out the images and use them on cards. Me cut things out? I've gotten SO spoiled by the matching dies that it's a chore to fussy cut. SO lazy!! LOL
I had cut the DSP a while ago and didn't do anything with it. I had other cards I wanted to make and this got pushed aside. While cleaning up the piles of papers before stampers come over I ran across this and thought I should make a card so it doesn't get lost or ruined. I mean, it was about 1/3 of the way done!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Tranquil Tide card stock. This card opens on the right side.
I cut a piece of DSP 4" x 5-1/4", it's the top piece. The bottom piece was cut 1-3/4" x 4". I taped it over the top of the other piece. Both pieces are from the "Animal Expedition" 12" x 12" DSP pack. I also cut an 1/4" x 4" piece of Tranquil Tide card stock and I glued that strip over the seam where the two pieces of DSP meet.
The words are from the "Better Together" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I liked the font used here, it has a fun, pleasing to children look to it. I die cut it using a circle die and I die cut a Tranquil Tide scalloped circle that was a little bit bigger than the word circle.
I had some enamel dots left over and I thought I'd add them to the bottom of the words for a bit of color. And that was it.
It was a fun and quick card to make. I think it will make a child smile.

This is such a fun, cute card for a child. I agree the font of the sentiment is great for a child. Enjoy your day!
