While looking on Pinterest today, I ran across this card. I clicked on it to make it larger. I left it on the screen as I made my copy. I closed that window and was going to go back to where I had originally found the image and then Pinterest pops up something about new pins for me to see and I lost the original card. So if you made this card or know who did, please let me know so I can give credit.
This is a very simple card to make. First I took a folded half sheet of Mint Macaron and stamped the images in the two corners using Mint Macaron ink. I also used my Stamparatus so I only had to line up the stamp once. I LOVE the Stamparatus because if you don't get enough ink on the image, you can always reink and stamp again. I have become dependent on it and I feel that it has made my cards better.
Next I cut a 2-1/8" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White. I lined up the cake image and the word image on my Stamparatus and I stamped the two at the same time.
I stamped the two flowers and fussy cut them. UGH! I know, fussy cutting. But it was only two so it was okay, I survived!!! LOL
I colored the cake, the word "cake", and the flowers in using the light Mint Macaron Blends pen and then I came back in using the dark Mint Macaron pen on the word, on the flame and loopy part of the cake and on the center of the flowers.
I used the light and dark Old Olive Blends pen for the leaves.
I taped the two layers together and set them in place on the card base using Dimensionals. I added a Dimensional to the back of the flowers and set them in place. The original card does not have tiny pearls in the center of the flowers. I thought it would look good there and it does. And that was it. Super simple and cute too!
