Yesterday I made a card using the "Amazing Life" set. I had to fussy cut the flowers and I whined a little! And there were only two yesterday. But today I didn't whine because I was so loving those little flowers that I didn't mind the cutting. Plus it's amazing how much you can cut when you have the tv on!!!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of it is a piece of Old Olive cut 4" x 5-1/4". I cut a piece of Whisper White 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" for my focal piece. This card opens at the bottom.
I cut a 1" x 5-1/8" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Share What You Love" 12" x 12" paper pack. I taped it to the Whisper White piece, about 1/2" up from the bottom of the card.
Next I die cut two Old Olive scribble circles from the "Swirly Scribbles" die cut set. I glued the two together and glued it to the card front.
Next I die cut two Old Olive scribble circles from the "Swirly Scribbles" die cut set. I glued the two together and glued it to the card front.
Then I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set using black Memento ink.
I stamped a bunch of flowers from the "Amazing Life" set using black Memento ink. I used 8 of them! I only cut 9 so it's not like I wasted my fussy cutting!!! I colored the flowers using the Blends pens. I used both light and dark Pool Party, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive for the leaves.
I stamped the cake from the "Amazing Life" set using black Memento ink. I colored the cake using the same colors as the flowers (except for the Old Olive). I taped the cake in place with snail tape.
I added the flowers using small Dimensionals. And that was it.
I had fun making this card. I really love those little flowers.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
