Today I found this fun card by Jan at "Thinking Stamping". What really caught my attention was, not only the color (I LOVE that Pacific Point blue) but the layout. Usually the layers are centered or to the left. I LOVE it that they are all gathered at the right corner.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pacific Point card stock. On top of that is a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Sahara Sand. Be sure to tape it to the upper right corner.
The Whisper White piece was cut 4-7/8" x 3-5/8". I stamped the flower from the "Painted Season" set using Pacific Point ink. I made a mask using a post it note. I had it in the stamp set from a previous stamping. They can be used over and over. I set the mask over the flower and then I stamped the larger Old Olive leaves. The tiny leaves were stamped using Sahara Sand. And the words are from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set and I used Sahara Sand to stamp them.
I added three crystal rhinestones and then a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside and the card was done.
This was a very quick card to make but I'm still loving the layout. When I compare the two cards, I think the Sahara Sand should have been cut 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" and the Whisper White piece cut 5" x 3-3/4". I think mine has a little too much Pacific Point card stock showing. Though I still think it's pretty. Now I want to try this with some other images. It's just so different yet attractive.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
