I was looking for a fun and easy masculine birthday card and I found on on Pinterest that I just changed a little and made it into a birthday card. You can see the original card here.
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. This piece was cut on the 8-1/2" side and opens at the bottom. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.
I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Crumb Cake card stock and stamped the "Hardwood" background image on it using Crumb Cake ink. I sponged the edges.
I die cut the stitched rectangle using the Bermuda Bay piece I had cut and sponged. I cut from the center so I wouldn't waste any card stock. I sponged the edges.
I die cut a Very Vanilla piece of card stock using the stitched rectangle dies and I stamped the rooster first and then the words. The rooster is from the Sale-a-Bration set "Home to Roost" and the words are from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set. I stamped them both using black Memento ink.
I colored the rooster using the following Blends markers, Bermuda Bay (light and dark), Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake (light), and Pumpkin Pie (light). I sponged the edges.
I taped the larger layers together and taped them to the card base. I taped the rooster image panel to the Bermuda Bay stitched piece. I added a piece of Burlap Ribbon to the center of the card front and then set the rooster layers in place using Dimensionals. And that was it. I thought it was a pretty quick and simple card to make. I think it's a great masculine card!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
