Waterfront, Sheltering Tree, Thinking of You Card

Today's find is from Pinterest, with a little change but not much.  You can see the original card here.  I was looking for something that used the "Waterfront" set because it was still sitting out on my worktable (along with 150 other things!!!). And being in need of thinking of you cards, I thought this image would work nicely.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Tranquil Tide card stock.  And the focal piece measures 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".

Using Tranquil Tide ink, I stamped the long image from the set. Here I used it as the land. I stamped it once, inked up my stamp and stamped again above and over a little from my first stamping.  Then I moved it to the other side and up just a bit and stamped again without inking it up.

Next I stamped the background. I inked up the stamp and stamped off twice before stamping on my card stock. I had done it on a previous piece only stamping off once and the background was too dark for the trees.  So here I stamped the image to the left and then to the right and then above without inking the image again. I tried to get as much ink off that stamp as I could!

Then I added the trees. I set it up in my Stamperatus and I ended up inking the trees three times to get them dark enough to show up nicely.

The words are from the "Sheltering Tree" set. I also used the Stamperatus for them because I wanted to get them straight and dark enough!  I LOVE that tool!!!  It's a must have!

I do like how this card turned out.  The original card didn't have instructions so I had to wing it and now you can follow along here and make one yourself!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
