Today I needed to make an anniversary card. I thought the new "Lovely Lattice" Sale-a-Bration set would be a perfect set to use.
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Calypso Coral card stock. The Whisper White piece was cut 3-1/2" x 4".
I stamped the image using Basic Gray ink. I had also set up that piece of card stock in my Stamparatus so I could restamp it in the event it didn't stamp clearly in any part. There were some spots that didn't stamp clearly so I just inked it up and stamped it again. The Stamparatus holds the paper in the exact spot you placed it and held down with a super strong magnet. It's almost impossible not stamp in the same exact spot. I LOVE it. now I know I can get my images stamped super clear. It gives the card a more professional look. I also own two MISTI's. A small one and a large one. The Stamparatus is in between those two sizes. I do like the extra plate with the Stamparatus so I can stamp two things on one image. Let's pretend that I stamped the floral image on the card front along with the words. On one plate I could set up the flower part and on the other I could set up the words.I can ink up the flowers and stamp it then use the next plate to stamp the words without moving the paper. That was a poor example because there would be enough room to place the flowers and the words on one plate. I would still use all three of my tools. I like them all.
Okay, back to my card. After stamping the flower image, I colored the scallops on the lace with the Sahara Sand marker.
I used the Calypso Coral Blends markers (light and dark) for the flowers and Daffodil Delight (light and dark) for the flower centers. I used Old Olive (light and dark) for the leaves and stems. Coloring with Blends makes coloring go so quickly and smoothly. Blends actually blend. When you color over a spot you already colored it doesn't leave a mark that showed you colored over it twice. It just blends in. OH SO NICE!!!
The words are from the "Special Celebrations" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I wanted them darker than Basic Gray.
I taped the layers together and set them in place with Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make and I sent it off with our son this afternoon when he picked up our granddaughters who spent most of the day with us just having fun.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

Beautiful. Your coloring is fantastic. I've never been real good at that and maybe it's because I just don't have the right markers. I'm too cheap to buy the good ones though....lol
