Today I needed to make a birthday card and I thought I'd be a little creative with the colors!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens on the right.
I added a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of Flirty Flamingo Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 6" x 6" "Brights" pack. I taped the DSP to the left side using snail tape.
Using Whisper White card stock, I die cut a stitched rectangle from the new "Rectangle Stitches Framelits" dies. I was surprised at how many rectangles are in that package! I also die cut the next largest one using Berry Burst card stock.
I stamped the bottom part of the cupcake first using Soft Suede ink.
The words were stamped next using Berry Burst ink.
Then I stamped the frosting using Flirty Flamingo ink. I stamped the sprinkles and the heart pick using Berry Burst ink.
I taped the layers together and set them in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a very quick card to make and to assemble. I am liking how these two colors are working well together. It takes your eyes and mind a few minutes to accept the two colors but once it does, they look fantastic together!
