You will never guess where I got the inspiration for this card. Awww, you did guess it. Pinterest!!! LOL
This was a fun card to make and I did change it a bit.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock. This card opens on the right.
I cut a 1" strip of the "Botanical Butterfly" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I cut that strip into 4" pieces. You can make a lot of cards using 1" strips. 12 cards to be exact!!! I made two because I cut two strips before I did the math! I cut the Basic Black layer 1-1/2" x 4-1/8". I taped the DSP to the Basic Black strips and set them in place on the card front using snail tape. The original card cut the strips at 3/4". You can make even more than 12 from one sheet!! After two I'm pretty much spent. Christmas card making drains me!!! LOL
I had stamped the butterfly from the "Butterfly Gala" set using black Memento ink and then I stmaped the wings using Mango Melody ink on the top part and Pumpkin Pie ink on the bottom. I used the matching punch to punch it out. The image also stamps (at the same time) a smaller butterfly and the punch punches them both out at the same time. So I have some little butterflies to play with down the road. I added a strip of Dimensionals down the center of the back of the butterfly and set it in place on the word piece. I colored the butterfly using Wink of Stella to give it a nice shimmer.
This was a fun card to make. It's a super easy layout and a great way to use busy background paper.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

Love this beautiful card and how you have used the pretty Butterfly Gala DSP to the best advantage. Getting 12 cards from a strip is fantastic. Thanks for the measurements. I received mine on Monday and can't wait to use it not with your inspiration. Enjoy your day!
