I found a fun card on Pinterest that I thought I would give a try at making. I did change it a little.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.
On top of the card base I die cut a "Stitched Rectangle". I used the second largest die on the Highland Heather card stock piece. And on the focal Whisper White piece I used the fourth largest die. I taped the Highland Heather piece to the card base.
I stamped the bubbles using Highland Heather ink, I did stamp off once before I stamped on the card stock. I stamped them several times. There's two bubble images in the "Beauty Abounds" set. The tiny dots are also from that set and I stamped them using Balmy Blue stamped off and also with Gorgeous Grape stamped off twice. I stamped the tiny butterfly from the "Beauty Abounds" set using Balmy Blue and stamped off twice.
I stamped the butterfly from the "Butterfly Gala" using black Memento ink. I punched it out with the matching punch. I colored it using a Balmy Blue marker and a blender pen (I didn't have the Balmy Blue Blends pen). I colored in the butterfly with the light Highland Heather Blends marker.
The words are from the "Butterfly Gala" set and I stamped them using black Memento ink.
I stuck a glue dot in the middle of the piece and added some wrapped strands of gold thread. I added a Dimensional to the back of the butterfly and set it in place. I added Dimensionals to the back of the focal piece and set it in place on top of the Highland Heather piece.
This was a fun card to make. I love the colors. This makes me long for spring. I even wrote down a recipe of ingredients to boil to make your house smell like spring. I just have to buy a couple of limes and some thyme. I've never bought thyme before and I'm not sure if it's a seasonal herb or not. I guess I'll find out the next time I go to the store. I have vanilla and one other extract I don't recall. When I make it and IF it smells like spring I will share the recipe with you!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
