Wow, this card has a very busy background. I was making a card a week or so back and I had accidentally taped the wrong side of the Designer Series Paper (DSP). Have you ever done that? I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, so I set it aside for another day. Today is that day!
I had die cut the circles for yesterday's card but the dies I used were too large, so I set those aside. I happened to set them on top of the "Santa's Workshop" DSP card. Now I knew what I was going to do with it.
I had die cut a Mrs. Claus because it was a scrap and there was still a whole Mrs. Claus on it, so why not cut it out, right??? LOL I had fussy cut a peppermint but realized I had a retired 3/8" circle punch that did the job nicely. See, not getting rid of all the retired stuff is a good thing. It saved me from fussy cutting.
First I stamped the words on the stitched circle. They are from the "Seasonal Chums" set and I stamped them using Poppy Parade. I then taped that circle to the Poppy Parade scalloped circle. I set Mrs. Claus and the peppermints in place using Dimensionals.
I set the whole thing in place on the card front using Dimensionals and the card was done.
It's an okay card but I think the background is a bit too busy for my taste!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

I appreciate your sharing your card but also the previous “boo boos”. Not everything is a mistake, right? I don”t care for busy backgrounds, either but the white die circle of Mrs. Claus breaks it up enough that I don’t think it is all that busy. Thank you for your HAPPY card and have a very joyful and blessed Christmas and holiday season.
