Santa's Workshop, Beautiful Blizzard, Christmas Card

This card needs some wording!!!  And just after typing that I removed the oval from the card front (carefully) and added the "Season's Greetings" from the "Beautiful Blizzard" set.  I used Poppy Parade to stamp them.  And now I like the card much better.  What do you think?

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade.  From the center of that piece I die cut the scalloped oval.

I die cut the stitched oval from a piece of Whisper White card stock that I sprayed with a mist of Balmy Blue ink and rubbing alcohol.  I set it aside to dry before I die cut it.  Once it was dry I taped those two ovals together.

While it was drying I had fussy cut the Santa from the "Santa's Workshop" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP).  I added some Wink of Stella to the gold parts on the sled and I also added some to the fuzzy pieces on the image.  I set the sleigh in place on the ovals.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock and added the striped piece of SDSP to the bottom.  This piece measures 1-3/8" x 5-1/8".  I taped that piece in place and then I taped the Whisper White piece to the Poppy Parade piece.

I set the ovals in place using Dimensionals.  Then I removed the ovals so I could add the words.  So, if you're going to add the words, do it before you set the ovals down! And I did move the oval down closer to the bottom edge to give the card a bit more balance with the words.

I do like the card much better with the words on it.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
