Stampin' Up! November 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Christmas Card

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  I loved it SO much that I wanted to make more cards than the 10 that came with the kit. But how?  Here's how I did it!

Usually when I make an alternative card from the Paper Pumpkin Kit it's because I was not overly fond of the cards that came in the kit, so I find a different way to make a card that is to my liking.  This kit was hard because I LOVED the look of the cards in the kit.  This checkered paper is SO darn pretty.  I wanted to get the most of my kit and then some!

I folded the card base in half.  Now for the next five cards I make with the checkered paper, I will be using Crumb Cake card stock.  The card stock that comes with the kit is white on the inside.  It's nice but leaves no room for mistakes!

I will take the half-sheet of the checkered paper and tape it to the left of the card. I cut the Vellum circle in half and lined the edge along the edge of the checkered paper. I taped it in the center. No one will see the tape marks because the word piece hides it.

I stamped the words from the Paper Pumpkin kit using the Cherry Cobbler ink that came with the kit.  I set the words in place with the Dimensionals that came with the kit.  I punched out the branches that came with the kit and I set them in place on the card front. I may run out of branches but I do have a die from a stamp set so I will use that and keep the theme going.  Or I can scale down the branches and make that work. I think if I cut one of the branches in half I will have extra then.  Three might be a better look than for.

The kit also came with the sequins.  These sequins have a glue dot already attached to it.  It's easy enough to attach some sequins I have on hand using glue dots.

And the bow was tied and set in place with a glue dot.  I didn't make as big of a bow as in the instructions so I will probably have enough to make what I need.

It's a very fun, simple and beautiful card!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
