Signs of Santa, Santa's Signpost, Snowfall Thinlits, Christmas Card, 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I was working on our annual Christmas card and I had one Santa left over so I thought I would work him into a defferent card and this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Poppy Parade card stock. This card opens on the right. On top of that is a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" strip from the "Santa's Workshop" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). The white strips on here are fuzzy and that is what makes this paper "special".  I taped that strip to the left side of the card.

I cut a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White and before I taped it to the card base, I stamped the words from the "Signs of Santa" set.  Now had I taped them to the card base and then stamped, they would have been crooked.  That's just how lucky I am when I forget to stamp first.  Though I think I would have put it the card in the "Stamperatus" and gotten it straight. I LOVE using it for my words and for making a lot of cards at one time.  Like our Christmas cards. Stamping the words straight and in the same spot on each card was wonderful, oh and quick too!!!  So after I stamped the words I taped the piece in place.

I die cut the largest snowflake from the "Snowfall" thinlits dies using the "Dazzling Diamonds glitter paper.  I did not add the sticky sheet behind it. I just used the Tombow liquid glue on the center part of the snowflake and set it in place on the card.  The tips of the snowflake are just a hair away from the side and bottom layered edges.

The Santa is from the "Signs of Santa" bundle.  I stamped him first and then I die cut him. The framelets are called "Santa's Signpost".  After cutting him, I colored him using the Blends markers.  I set him in place using Dimensionals.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped "... and more!" words on the inside. The words are also from the "Signs of Santa" set.  I used Poppy Parade ink to stamp the words on the inside and out.  And the card was done.

Had I owned the "Snowfall" thinlits before I started our Christmas cards I would have used this snowflake on them.  But I didn't.  I'm not going to tell you what I used. I will post the card on Christmas day as I have done in the past!!!  I like our card but I LOVE the snowflake better.

I think this card is adorable!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
