Seasonal Chums, Snowfall Thinlits Die, Christmas Card

When I had started yesterday's card I had originally made the large snowflake using the double sided sticky sheet so I could make the snowflake a sticker. But the card wouldn't word as a sticker so I set it aside for another time, and the time is today!  I don't often use the images this soon! I usually set them on my worktable and run across them much later!  It would be nice if this were a new habit I was forming!!!

This is a very simple card to make.  The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I had die cut the snowflake from the "Snowfall" thinlits dies that are only available this month.  I didn't buy the set, I just bought the dies and there's LOTS of fun snowflakes in that die set.  I probably could have stood to add a smaller snowflake to the center of the large one but while I was working on it, the thought didn't occur to me.  Things like that usually happen when I'm looking at the picture on my computer screen as I'm writing up the post.  I will probably leave it the way it is because I have a million other things going on.

Okay, back to the card.  I stamped and die cut the snowman from the "Seasonal Chums" set.  This snowman has the backside attached to it. You fold it over and there's a tag hole so you can make your own Christmas tags. I cut off the backside, I only wanted the front.  I colored the piece in using markers.  I used Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake on the bunny, Soft Suede on the hat, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, and I used Petal Pink for the blush on the cheeks.

The words are from the "Seasonal Chums" set and I stamped them using Real Red ink.

I set the snowman in place using Dimensionals. I also set the 4" x 5-1/4" piece in place using Dimensionals.

I don't know if any of you have had problems with the images sticking using the doubles sided sticky sheets.  I think I may have handled the snowflake too much trying to get all those pieces off. I set it in place and it didn't stick very well.  What I ended up doing was using my heat tool and I heated up the backside of the card and I pressed it down on my counter to help it stick better.  That seems to work well for me.

This was a very fun and quick card to make.  I do like how it turned out.
