Now in real life the colors blend well together. On here the Mint Macron focal image looks SO out of place.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that I cut 3/4" x 5-1/4" strips of "Frosted Floral" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). This paper has a very pretty shimmer to it, to the entire piece, not just special images.
I taped the strips to the left, leaving about 1/8" space between them. The easiest way to keep those strips about 1/8" and equal is to use round toothpicks between the strips.
I stamped the image from the "Wishing You Well" stamp set and Mint Macaron ink. I die cut it with the oval die and I die cut a Tranquil Tide scalloped oval at the same time. I taped those two layers together. I set them in place over the strips using Dimensionals.
I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set using black Memento ink. I punched it out using the "Classic Label" punch. I also punched out 2 using Tranquil Tide card stock to layer behind the word piece. I taped those layers together and I set them in place on the oval using Dimensionals.
This is a very simple card to make and a fun design to play with.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
