I usually post every day on my blog but I took the day off yesterday, I'm still fighting this horrid cold thing that just won't go away. It's better but I'm not completely over it. It could be that hubby has got it and keeps giving it back to me! How dare he!!! It keeps me from my stamping room! LOL
I am in need of a birthday card this week. Actually two, it's for my twin sister-in-laws. I had to make two but that's okay, because today's card was a fun one and easy too. The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mint Macaron card stock. I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White and embossed it using the "Lovely Floral" embossing folder.
I cut a 1-1/2" x 3-7/8" strip from the "Share What You Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). I taped it in place about 3/4" up from the bottom of the Whisper White piece of the card.
I taped a "Pearlized Doily" on the card front. I only taped it on the SDSP strip. Next I put a glue dot in the center of the doily. Then I wrapped some silver thread around my fingers and set it on the glue dot to hold it in place.

I die cut a Mossy Meadow scalloped circle and set it aside.
The words are from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set. I stamped them using Mossy Meadow ink. I punched them out using the 1-3/4" circle punch. I wanted to show more of the scalloped piece so that I why I used the punch. I did chop off the curly part of the "Y" on birthday but the one receiving the card will never now that!
I taped the words to the Mossy Meadow scalloped piece and set it in place on top of the doily using Dimensionals. And that was it. So quick, easy, and pretty too!
