I had a scrap strip of the "Share What You Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). This SDSP has a shimmer to it but I didn't use the side that had the pretty shimmer. But the shimmer is why it's called "special".
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens on the right.
My SDSP strip measured 5-1/8" x 1-5/8". The Early espresso layer behind it measured 5-1/4" x 1-3/4". I taped those two layers together and set them in place on the left side of the card.
I stamped the image from the "Wishing You Well" set using Mint Macaron ink. The Whisper White piece was cut 2-3/4" x 3-3/4". I cut an Early Espresso layer 2-7/8" x 3-7/8" and I taped the two layers together. I set them in place on the card using Dimensionals. I tried to center the pieces as much as I could.
I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set using Early Espresso ink. I die cut the words using the oval stitched die. I die cut a scalloped oval using Early Espresso card stock. I didn't plan ahead and use the layer behind the strip or behind the leafy bundle but I did have a small scrap so I didn't have to use a fresh sheet of card stock for my scalloped oval. I taped the words to the scalloped oval. I added Dimensionals and set the words in place where a bow would be on the bundle.
And for the final touch, I added some rhinestones to the leafy bundle. To mail this I will just add a piece of thick card stock to the top and pop it in the mail. You can also turn the card "inside out" and mail it like that too. I like to add some reinforcement to my cards with these types of embellishments. It seems that if it's smooth on the outside it goes through the mail better.
This was a fun, quick and easy card to make.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
