I was asked to make some quick, clean and simple cards, so here we go!
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Blackberry Bliss card stock. This card opens at the bottom.
On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White. If you don't want to use a full quarter sheet you can cut it 5-1/4" x 2-1/8". You do need a little to overlap in case your cutter is off so you don't see the Blackberry Bliss where the two pieces meet.
I cut a piece of "Frosted Floral" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) 2" x 5-1/4". It's called "specialty" because it's frosted. The whole image, not just the flowers, is covered in a pretty shimmer. It's very difficult to see it on this photo. You can click on the photo for a closer look but it's just too hard to see. But in person, it's beautiful! I taped the SDSP in place using snail tape. On my card, I did cut my Whisper White piece 4" x 5-1/4".
I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set using Black Memento ink. I should have used BlackBerry Bliss ink but I didn't think of that until I put the card on my post and was looking at it. I die cut the words using an oval die.
I die cut a Blackberry Bliss scalloped oval and I taped the word oval to it. I set the oval in place using Dimensionals. And there you have it. A clean and simple card to make. It can always be jazzed up by adding texture to the Whisper White quarter sheet piece before taping it in place. Some pearls or rhinestones could be added to the flowers on top. Probably pearls, because of the shimmer of the paper. A piece of ribbon could be added where the SDSP and card stock meet. So you can start out with a clean and simple card and embellish it as you wish, or not!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
