I have made several cards using the "Recessed Panel" technique.
It's difficult to see, but the base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black. I could have used Whisper White, or actually any other color.
The frog images are from the "Toil & Trouble" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I just needed a little strip of the DSP. It's a waste to use a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of the DSP.
I die cut the cauldron from the "Toil & Trouble" DSP. The cat is also from that paper pack and I used the matching die for that too. Cute kitty, huh?
And the bat is from the "Spooky Bats" paper punch. I punched using Basic Black card stock.
The words are from the "Cauldron Bubble" stamp set and I stamped them using Gorgeous Grape card stock.
You can find the directions and measurements for the card here. This card didn't turn out exactly as I was thinking it would, but it's a pretty cute kid friendly card.

Adorable card! Does the cauldron slide?
No, Si. This cauldron does not slide. This is a Raised Panel technique, not a slider card. Though it would be cool to make a slider card using the cauldron!
