Today I thought it would be a nice change to make something different with the "Toil & Trouble" Designer Series Paper (DSP) instead of a Halloween card. Fall birthday cards are nice and they most often lean towards the masculine side. This card could also be a fall thank you or Thanksgiving card.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that are the upper left and bottom right corner pieces. I used a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock and I cut it from the right tip to the left side. Mark the left side 3-1/8" and cut from the tip to the mark. I took the other end and used it as a template for the bottom corner.
I cut the DSP 3-3/4" x 5". I made a mark on the side at 3" and I cut from the tip to the mark. Again I used the cut piece as a template for the bottom piece. I taped the DSP to the Early Espresso card stock and then I taped those pieces in place on the front of the card.
I took a scrap piece of Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie and using the middle two stitched squares I die cut the frames. I also used the smaller one to cut a piece of Whisper White card stock so I could set it in the middle with the greetings on.
I slipped the frames into each other and glued them where they met. I stamped the words on the Whisper White piece using Early Espresso ink. The words are from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set. I glued the word piece on but there wasn't a lot of places to add glue so when I was adding the Dimensionals, I made sure they crossed over to the word piece to help hold it in place. I set the word frames in place on the card and that was it. Pretty easy and quick AND it wasn't a Halloween card!!!
