I was looking for a fall card to make. I wanted something with the pretty oranges of fall. I REALLY wanted to use the "Abstract Impressions" set but I thought it looked mostly like a spring or summer flower card. But with the darker colors I think it looks pretty fallish! I found one on Pinterest that I thought I could work into a fall color. You can see that card here.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Mango Melody card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mango Melody 6" x 6" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) from the Brights pack.
I set a 3-1/2" x 4" piece of velum on top of the DSP. I took a piece of ribbon and taped the ends to the back of the Mango Melody and DSP layer. I tied a piece of ribbon and made a knot.
I cut a piece of Mango Melody measuring 2-1/2" x 3". The Whisper White piece is cut 2-3/8" x 2-7/8". I stamped the thicker leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped the thinner leaves using Old Olive. The flowers were stamped using Crushed Curry ink and the highlights on the flowers were stamped using Mango Melody. I taped that onto the Mango Melody piece and I set the layers in place using Dimensionals.
The words are from the "Abstract Impressions" set and I stamped them on a 3/4" x 3" piece of Whisper White card stock. I set them in place with Dimensionals and that was it.
This was a fun card to make and I'm glad it turned out to be more of a warm fall card.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
