I found a fun card on Pinterest and I wanted to recreate it. What interested me about the card I found was the background paper. And as it turned out, it was some Designer Series Paper (DSP) with tiny little dots. You can see that paper in the link here.
So I looked through my stamp sets to find some tiny dots and I didn't have anything. But I did find some dots in the "Perennial Birthday" set. I stamped them on a quarter sheet of Whisper White card stock. I purposely left some spaces open to stamp spiders. The spiders are from the September 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. I used Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and black Memento ink to stamp the spiders.
The base of my card is folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. This card opens on the right.
I added a piece of Mango Melody cut 4" x 5-1/4". I cut a piece of Basic Black card stock 3-1/4" x 4-3/8". And then I cut my custom background image 3-1/8" x 4-1/4". I taped those layers together.
I took a piece of the DSP from the "Toil & Trouble" 12" x 12" pack. I cut that piece 7/8" x 4". I cut a Basic Black strip 1" x 4". I taped those two layers together and before I set them on top of the card front using Dimensionals, I stamped the "eeeek" from the September 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. I also stamped a spider on the left side of the green DSP.
I die cut the witches hat from the same DSP pack. I set it in place with snail tape. And that was it. It's a very easy and quick card to make. Plus I thought it was fun making that cute background.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
