This is one of the stamp sets I have mixed feeling about. I often wonder why I bought it. The flower is not the easiest to work with but I do like the words in the set. That must be why I bought it, for the words. So I thought today that I would try to play with it and see what I get! I'm not thrilled with it. I will have to look on Pinterest for something fun and eye catching.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso that I die cut the scalloped circle from before taping it to the card base. And the top layer is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry that was textured using the "Layered Leaves" embossing folder.
I stamped the flower using Crushed Curry ink and then I sponged on some Mango Melody on the edges. I think I should have used Pumpkin Pie ink instead, it would have stood out better. The Whisper White piece is cut 2-5/8" x 2-3/8". The Early Espresso layer was cut 2-3/4" x 2-1/2".
I stamped the words from the "Healing Hugs" set using Early Espresso ink. I die cut them with the circle dies. I set the flower and the word piece in place on the card front using Dimensionals. I added a few rhinestones and the card was done. It was a pretty quick card to make but I need to find something that is more eye catching using this set.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
