I was about to put the "Abstract Impressions" set back on my shelf (really, I was really going to put things away!!! LOL) and an idea came for a card. And yes, this is what I imagined it to be!!!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens on the left.
Next I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock. And on top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White. I scored the Whisper White piece at 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1-1/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/2". I wrapped a piece of the retired Flirty Flamingo ribbon and taped it to the back of the card stock. No point in going all the way around, no one is going to see it with the layers. I added a strip of ribbon separately to make the knotted bow thing.
I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set using Old Olive ink. I stamped the flower from the "Abstract Impressions" set using Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral ink. I also stamped the leaves using Old Olive ink. I did have to fussy cut them out. I die cut the circles and the scalloped circles behind them.
I taped those layers together. I taped the leaves behind the circle. I was originally planning on taping them to the front of the flower but it looked too funny. But somehow adding it behind the circle seemed to make more sense.
I added the words circle to the card front using Dimensionals. And then I taped the small circle with the leaves attached to the word circle.
The large layers were all taped together and that was it. I thought it was a very quick card to make and I also thought that maybe I might buy a spool of a current ribbon!!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
