I was looking at my "Waterfront" stamp set and thinking I should pull it off the shelf and use it. I have WAY too many stamp sets that I REALLY like and it's difficult to do them all justice. And the sad thing is that the holiday occasions catalog ordering is just around the corner! I'm going to try to be more selective. I know it will be easier on my pocketbook if I do!!
This was a very fun card. I do so love playing with this set.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of "Twinkle Twinkle" Designer Series Paper (DSP).
The image was stamped on a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. The layer behind it is a 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Tranquil Tide card stock.
I stamped the mountains first using Crumb Cake ink. Then I stamped the trees using Tranquil Tide ink. I took my Early Espresso marker and darkened in the trunks. Then I stamped the grassy looking area using Pear Pizzazz. The water was stamped using Balmy Blue ink. And that was it for the images. I taped the Tranquil Tide card stock and Whisper White card stock together and wrapped some linen thread around it three times and tied a knot. I set it in place using Dimensionals.
I cut a 1/2" strip of Crumb Cake card stock. I cut that strip 3-5/8" long. I snipped the ends to give it a ribbon look. I taped it to the front of the card. The piece of Crumb Cake that was left over measured 1-1/8" long. I stamped the words using the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I set those words in place on the card front using Dimensionals.
I thought it was a fun and quick card to make. And I do like how it turned out.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
