This was a fun card to make and a little bit challenging. I found it on Pinterest.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock that was cut on the 8-1/2" side. This card opens at the bottom.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock and taped it to the card base.
Next I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock. I scored this piece to form that rectangle around the focal piece. I set my card stock on my scoring board with the shorter side on the top. I lightly marked it with a pencil at 1/2" down and 1-1/2" over to the right. I scored from there down to the 4-5/8" mark. You may want to lightly mark that too. You won't need to erase the marks, it will be the backside of the card. Mark the right score line at 3-3/8" and score down to the 4-5/8" mark. Turn your card stock and score the small ends of the rectangles. You should be able to see the marks. It's roughly 1/2" in from the end of the card stock. Turn it over and stamp the words. Mine are from the "You're Inspiring" set. I wanted to make this into a birthday card.
I taped the white scored layer to the Basic Black piece.
Cut the focal piece for the flower from Whisper White card stock at 1-1/2" x 3-3/4". I stamped the detailed image of the flower using black Memento ink. Next I stamped the center part of the flower. I used my Melon Mambo marker to color the petals and Daffodil Delight for the center. I huffed on it and then stamped it over the outline image. And then I stamped the stem using black Memento ink. I colored in the leaves with the Pear Pizzazz marker. I taped this piece to a Basic Black layer that was cut 1-5/8" x 3-7/8". I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place inside the scored rectangle. And that was it. I had made a second one, just the scored piece because I had put my tape on the wrong side. UGH But I followed my directions and it was easier than the first time where I was guessing and trying to measure at the same time. I like this scored rectangle and I think I will be using it on a card sometime in the near future. Now that I have the measurements!!!

I love this pretty card, Wanda. The scored lines are a nice detail I never think about using. Great job! Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great weekend.
