Petal Palette, Better Together, Birthday Card

I have not played with the "Petal Palette" set in a while. Probably a little while it doesn't matter, I still like this set VERY much! I saw a card on Pinterest that used this set, I didn't save where I found it. But I liked how the oval was done and the leaves behind the flowers.  Other than that the card is totally different.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I added a 4" x 2-1/4" piece of Pear Pizzazz Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I taped it to the bottom of the layer.

Next I stamped the flower image and die cut the largest stitched oval along with the flower.  I colored the flower in using Blends pens.  I stamped the leaves from the "Petal Palette" set using Pear Pizzazz ink.

I tied some Baker's twine around the Pear Pizzazz DSP and tied a bow.  Then I set the oval piece where I was thinking it should go (I didn't tape it down yet).  I lined it up so I knew where to stamp the words.  The words are from the "Better Together" set.  I thought the font flowed well with the flowers.  Once I was done with the words I set the oval in place with Dimensionals.

Then I set the flowers in place with Dimensionals.  And then I set the whole panel in place with Dimensionals. Oh, when you are setting the flowers in place, be sure not to add Dimensionals to the bottom leaves. They will end up sticking to the DSP and give the look of being bent.  You could make them double thickness and then they would lay flat. I just left them off.

I thought this was a fun and easy card to make.  And I think it's VERY pretty too!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
