I had bought the "Animal Expedition" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) and not the set with the matching dies. It was just not in my budget. Plus I didn't want to fall into that again. Last year I bought the birthday one, the set with the dies plus the matching DSP. It was only in the catalog for one year. Not a good economical choice. So this time I decided to only buy the paper and fussy cut the creatures out. And so far I have no regrets.
My card was easy and fun. I always do my fussing cutting first because I HATE to do it!!! LOL After cutting I added a die cut circle of the "Share What You Love" DSP. I LOVED that color plus it fit well with the kangaroo. I add a Whisper White stitched circle behind the DSP. I had some fun ribbon that actually matched the green in the DSP so I wrapped it around my spread out fingers three times and I taped the ends to the center of the back of the two taped layers. Then I added Dimensionals and affixed it to a Basic Black scalloped circle. I added Dimensionals to the back of that and I set it aside.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock that I textured with the large Dots embossing folder. I wrapped some of that fun ribbon around that card and taped the ends on the backside. Then I added that piece to the card base using Dimensionals.
I set the kangaroo circle in place. The words are from the "Sweet Baby" set and I stamped them on Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink. I die cut them with the oval die and I die cut a black scalloped oval. I taped those two pieces together and I added them to the card using Dimensionals. And that was it. I think it's a very fun baby card!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
