Today I added some "Gallery Grunge" to the "Varied Vases" set. I used the muted dots in the "Gallery Grunge" set on the background of this card. I think it gave the card a nicer look than just a plain white background. This was a very fun and easy card to make.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Melon Mambo. And on top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White.
I die cut an oval using the stitched ovals. I die cut a Smoky Slate stitched oval. I used the largest one in the set for that. And I die cut a Whisper White scalloped oval for the layer behind the Smoky Slate stitched oval. It doesn't show up well on here but in person it looks REALLY nice and a bit elegant!
I stamped the vase using Smoky Slate ink and I punched it out. I stamped the flower on the Whisper White oval using Garden Green ink. Then I stamped the flower petals image using Melon Mambo ink. I set the vase in place using Dimensionals.
I taped the oval layers together and added Dimensionals to the back, but I didn't set it in place yet. I needed to stamp the scalloped edge image first. I did that using Melon Mambo ink. Next I stamped the "Gallery Grunge" muted dots. I used Smoky Slate ink and stamped off once before stamping it on the background. Then I added a piece of the Whisper White "Sheer 1/8" Ribbon" and taped the ends on the back. Then I stamped the words using black Memento ink.
I taped large layers together and then I set the oval in place. This was a very fun card to make and I didn't think it took my time at all to create. I am SO loving the gray with the Melon Mambo!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
