While at Terri's Stamping Extravaganza last month I saw this pretty card and just had to make it. It was actually pretty simple to make.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Mint Macaron. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy. On top of the Night of Navy is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White. And on top of the Whisper White is a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of the "Share What You Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). The shimmer on the paper is on the larger flowers (in the upper left corner is one of them). It's VERY pretty in person. I cut that SDSP 3-1/2" down from the top on the left side and 2" down from the top on the right side. I cut a 2" x 3" piece of Mint Macaron card stock and punched the end to make the ribbon looking piece. You can also snip from the corner to the center and make your own ribbon end without using a punch. I'm lazy so I used the punch! I centered and taped this piece to the back of the SDSP.
The original card used some Night of Navy ribbon. I didn't have any so I used a piece of Night of Navy card stock. I cut it 3-1/2" x 1/2". I centered the ribbon as much as I could knowing that the circles were going to be in the middle.
I stamped the words from the "Varied Vases" set using Night of Navy ink. You want to do this before you put the layers together. My Night of Navy looks pretty dark. I had to take my pad and swipe it across a piece of copier paper to see if it really was Night of Navy. It is!!
For me the tricky part came. I do not have the vases punch yet, so when I borrowed one for a few days I punched a few Whisper White pieces and I set them in a container on my worktable. I used one of those blank vases and I stamped the image on it using my Stamparatus. I took the punched piece and lined it up with the vase image. Then I set the vase image on the left side of the Stamparatus and I closed it. Oh, I did have some removable tape on the back of the blank so it would stay in place. I inked up the image and stamped and it was perfect!!!

Next I stamped the flower on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I did cover part of the stem because the first one I did the stem was visible at the bottom of the vase. It's a pretty long stem! I colored the flower in with the Mint Macaron marker because I assembled it before I realized I should have stamped the flower parts in. But either way is okay. And this time I remembered to add the tiny pearls to the center of the flowers!! See them in the photo! They are actually there, you don't need to imagine them! LOL
I had cut a circle of Night of Navy that was the next size larger than the one for the flower. I taped those two pieces together and then I added Dimensionals to the back. I set the circle layers in place over the strip of Night of Navy. Then I added the vase using Dimensionals.
And there you have it a very lovely layered "Varied Vases" birthday card. So pretty too!
