I have a feeling I am going to be running out of this fabulous Specialty Decorative Series Paper (SDSP). The large flowers on this piece shimmer. That's what makes this SDSP instead of just DSP. This pack is called "Share What You Love."
I mostly copied a card by Sandi MacIver. I subscribe to her blog and this was a card she was featuring. I LOVE the colors and especially that new SDSP. SO I set out to recreate her card. I didn't have the wording she used so I looked through my stamps to see what would take up a nice amount of real estate in the second to the largest stitched circle die. I came up with the "Get Well Soon" from the "Healing Hugs" set. It fit perfectly enough. I also didn't have the flower. But it turned out I did. It's from different sheet in the SDSP pack. Oh well, live and learn, right? I still like how mine turned out so I am not complaining or planning on redoing it.
To make the card I folded a 1/2 sheet of Mint Macaron card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock. And the SDSP was cut 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".
I cut a 1-1/2" x 5-1/8" piece of vellum for the strip behind the word circle.
I stamped the words on Crumb Cake card stock using black Memento ink. I fussy cut the flower from a scrap piece of the SDSP.
I taped the SDSP piece to the Basic Black piece. Then I tied the black Baker's Twine around those two layers three times and I died a bow. I slipped the vellum under the twine and centered it. I added a glue dot between the vellum and the SDSP where the knot is so it wouldn't show. And I added another one where I knew the circle would be covering it.

I set the words in place using Dimensionals. I used a glue dot to attach the fussy cut flower and I added a couple of gold sequins to the stitched circle. And that was it. I thought it was a fun card and it seems like you can't go wrong with this new SDSP. The colors are so rich and pleasing to the eye.
