I suppose this could also be a get well card but with the seeds blowing in the wind it looked more like a sympathy card to me than a get well card.
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock. I stamped the "Bokeh Dots" image on a scrap piece of card stock using Balmy Blue ink. I trimmed the edges. I set that piece on top of the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock and then stamped the "Dandelion Wishes" image using black Memento ink. I removed the "Bokeh Dots" piece and added a 1/8" larger layer of Basic Black card stock. You will have to measure it yourself because it will be different than what I have because of the trimming of the "Bokeh Dots" image. Then I taped those two layers to the Whisper White piece.
The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and that was it.
I did have an issue with the "Bokeh Dots" image. My new Balmy Blue ink pad was pretty juicy and the image looked too muted, so much of the detail was missing. SO I used a sponge dauber and blotted the ink off the stamp and then I stamped it on my card stock. It turned out much better.
This was a fun and easy card to make. The "Dandelion Wishes" set just arrived today and I had to play with it. I LOVE it that you can take the stamps right out of the package and play. I'm not a big fan of wood mount stamp set anymore. I especially love the clear ones. I can see where I'm setting things. And they are easy to use in the Stamparatus too!! The red rubber ones that you use the clear blocks for (like the "Dandelion Wishes" set is) can be used in the Stamparatus too but it may take a few practice stampings to get it right. But then you can stamp several at a time without relining things up!!
I did have fun making this card and I hope you enjoy it too!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
