Today I'm playing with a new set and a new color. I had ordered a few things and they came yesterday, so I've been playing.
This was a quick and fun card to make.
The base of this card is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"piece of the new Gray Granite card stock. And yes, you did read those measurements right. The card opens using the Whisper White piece. That piece was cut 7" x 4-3/4". It was folded in half on the long side. It opens on the right. Behind it is a 7-1/8" x 4-7/8" piece of the new Highland Heather card stock.

I stamped the "Bokeh" image using Highland Heather ink. I did use my sponge dauber to make sure the ink was evenly distributed on the card. This image is a bit tricky to work with. If you have a very juicy pad like I did, the image will be or could be more solid than you want. If you don't get enough ink it will not show the details. So inking it up first and then using the dauber to even it out works best for me.
Next I stamped the dandelion image from the "Dandelion Wishes" set and the words are from that same set. I stamped those using black Memento ink. And that was it. This card was super quick and easy to make. I am really liking the two new purple colors, the Highland Heather and the Gorgeous Grape. I have not played with the grape color yet but I will be soon, I'm sure!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
