Today I was having some fun with the "Trellis" embossing folder. I had embossed a piece of Melon Mango and had no idea what to do with it. The "Abstract Impressions" set we still sitting out so I thought I would stamp a flower using the Melon Mango and Pumpkin Pie ink (which were still sitting out - imagine that!!!). After I stamped the flower I grabbed my book of Split Coast Sketches and found sketch SC167 and thought I would work with it and this is what I ended up with. I had also added two leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink. Almost forgot about the leaves.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of embossed Melon Mango card stock.
I cut two pieces of the "Share What You Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). I have not been using the special sides much!! The special sides have a shimmer added to the flowers and other images. It's pretty but I found this side to be of interest to me for some reason. These colors ended up making the card look more like a fall card. But that's okay, I like the colors anyway. I cut those rectangles 1-5/8" x 2-1/2". I cut the Basic Black layers 1-3/4" x 2-5/8". I taped those layers together and then set them in place, centered on the front using Dimensionals.

The flower was die cut with the 2-7/16" circle die and a Basic Black scallop was added. This scallop was the next size larger than the circle. The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings". I stamped them using black Memento ink. I taped those two pieces together and taped the right and left side to the top of the rectangles. And that was it. It was a pretty quick card to make, much to my surprise since I hadn't a clue where I was going with it at first!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
